A new chapter begins for me with the Nederlandse Orde van Beroepscoaches (NOBCO) – Vaksectie Intercultureel Coachen (Dutch Association for Professional Coaches – Core Team Intercultural Coaching) —a team committed to deepening the practice of coaching across cultures.

Intercultural coaching, as defined by NOBCO, is “a partnership designed to maximise coachee potential by honouring each individual’s uniqueness, consciously recognising both similarities and differences.” It’s grounded in values like curiosity, humility, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism—qualities essential to regenerative coaching that rebuilds connection and supports growth.

There’s a growing need for cross-cultural awareness and reflection in coaching. It extends far beyond language or background—it touches on identity, belonging, power, and the many visible and invisible ways we move through the world. Coaching in this space calls for nuance, humility, and a capacity to stay present in complexity.

As a key person, it’s a privilege to be part of this thoughtful group of practitioners. There’s so much to learn, unlearn, and explore together as we shape conversations that support more inclusive and regenerative ways of living and leading.

Grateful to NOBCO, Intercultural Coaching Community of the Netherlands (ICC Netherlands), and everyone walking this path with us.
